Norton Buffalo and the Knockouts

I want to thank all of the people from Paradise and the surrounding communities for coming out to our show on Saturday April 21 at the Paradise Performing Arts Center, to support the great causes that benefited from this event. We all had such an incredible time playing music that evening and from what we could tell, you, the audience, were having a great time too.

I wish to thank all of the musicians that performed that night for helping put on such a wonderful show. both of my groups, Norton & Friends and Norton & The Knockouts were on fire!!! Special thanks to the fine fiddling of Tom Rigney for taking us all up a notch. Man oh man, I have such a gas playing with you brother!! I also offer a standing ovation to Hap, for doing an excellent job on mixing the sound.

I want to send special thanks to Danny Salas and all of the members Paradise Rotary for being the catalyst that made this show happen.

A big thanks to Bruce Dick and all of the great staff both on the stage and in the office, at the Paradise Performing Arts Center for making this show possible

The articles which came out in the local papers before the show certainly helped to get the word out. In all my years of interviews, I've never had the writers get it as right as these guys did. Not just one ... but two!! I honor them both so graciously for their journalistic contributions, their support, and their kind words. To Jamie and Karen O'Neill for a stellar article in Chico News and Review, and to Bruce Smith-Peters and Alan Sheckter from the Chico Enterprise Record, for the wonderful article in The Buzz.

Special thanks and big hugs to all of my neighbors, family and friends who came up to this gorgeous theater on the ridge for our show. What a blast!!! I hope to do something like this again next year. It was too much fun to be a one time thing!!!

To my darling wife Lisa, thank you for all of your support in putting this show together, No words can express the joy of playing music with you on stage. Your beutiful guitar playing and vocals, and most of all, your love, make each moment with you on stage precious.

Please remember to support this theater, and to do all that you can within your community to support those causes that are close to your heart. It is so wonderful to be part of a town that has such a feeling of community. Let us work to not ever let that fade.

I wish to thank all of you for supporting my music by coming out to our shows and by taking our music into your homes. Without you this wouldn't be any fun at all!!!!! I send out my blessings to all of you and look forward to seeing you sometime this year.
For all of my fans from around the world that I stay in touch with, I say thank you! It is humbling to me to think that my talent has touched so many people from so many places around the globe. What a joy and a blessing.
I wish to thank, as well, the many wonderful promoters and club owners that have brought me to your towns to perform. Thank you so much for keeping live music "alive" and for believing in me and my music. So many of you have become my friends over the years ... and it is a pleasure to be on your stages playing for all the smiling faces in the crowd. Thanks for all you do!
I plan on finishing up a lot of new music in the months to come and I look forward to sharing it with all of you.

2006 saw a lot of changes. A large number of people stood up and were acounted for during our last national and state elections, and through that, a big difference was made. There is hope for change, but remember to stay in touch with your representatives regarding how you feel about the day to day issues. Your participation is important! Without your input, the elections may make little difference. I have hopes that this is a change for the positive.
We lost a lot of brothers and sisters in 2006. I suppose the most noteable, is the loss of Soul Brother Number One, James Brown. Growing up in Richmond, California, James had a huge impact on my musical life. No doubt, it was JB that first put the funk into my groove way back then. May he rest in peace.
We lost a former President, some dear friends, so many of our nation's soldiers, too many citizens of Iraq, and far too many innocents, including women and children, through atrocities in Iraq, Darfur and other places around the planet.

Thanks to Terri Baker, an agreement was signed with Capitol/EMI Records allowing me to re-release my first two Capitol LPs. I now have to find the right label to re-release them later this year, the 30th anniversary of the release of my first Album. (Lovin' In The Valley Of The Moon was first released in June 1977) We will keep you informed here on this page regarding which label it will be coming out on and the timing of that release. Thanks for your patience!!!

On a matter of grave importance to the future of our nation and our planet, I urge you all to see the film
An Inconvenient Truth
No matter what political leanings you may have, it is of grave importance that we are an educated nation, aware of what is happening to our world. In this film, Al Gore lays out the plain truth about global warming in a way that is very understandable ... and backed by facts that are undisputable. It is time that we as citizens of this wonderful nation, put our politicians to the task of solving this dilema, not in the usual pork and graft delayed manner, but rather as a matter of urgency by accepting the impending peril and grave consequences that will come from neglecting these issues. All financial, corporate and political influences must be cast aside, as together we forge forward to make this planet one in which future generations can live.
Please do yourselves and Mother Earth a favor ...
